Management Training – Level 4

In Management Training we take a closer look at what it takes to be a good manager in the hospitality industry.  We teach the managers how to train their staff, how to maintain their staff, keep an eye on their staff and how important it is to motivate their staff.  We point out common mistakes made by most managers and show them how to fix it.  We teach them how to get the best out of their staff without breaking down their staff.  We give them all the general information needed to manage their staff to the best of their abilities and then we apply it in the bar or on the floor in order to show them what to look out for.  We give them practical ways to test staff in a positive way.

Unfortunately we do not teach managers any management duties, like cash-ups or ordering stock and so on, simply because every establishment has a different way they would like this to happen and to learn those procedures properly takes time.  We do cover procedures like how to do proper stock take, shift planning and dealing with problems and difficult guests.

Our Management Training course is a 3 day course.  All day consist of theory and practical.  We come to your establishment and train your managers on you premise.  It will only take 3 hours out of their busy schedules and we fit in the training when it suits your establishment.  We do recommend that floor managers and bar managers are trained separate, because we adjust the training criteria to fit each department.

Because management is such an intense topic we try and keep our training groups small. We prefer to have a minimum class off 2 and a maximum of 5.  If there are pressing reasons to have bigger classes, like when opening a new club or restaurant, we will take on more students in our classes.  We know that the industry is a busy one so we try our best to tailor our classes to your establishments needs.

The training includes a Management manual and each manager receives a certificate on completion of the course.

Costs:  The course is R3000 per person.
